The BLUESHIP project was developed in 2013 from three SMEs and three research centers crossing the Europe.



Labor is a private Contract Research Organization (CRO) realizing third party research and development, specifically in the energy and environment sector. In particular it realizes research activities and coordination in the framework of multi-partner research projects.

LABOR is the leader in Italy in coordinating and providing research services for European funded projects specifically for Small and Medium Enterprises. In the 6th Framework Programme we carried out research services in 14 projects for about 70 SMEs. The company is certified ISO 9001 since August 2002 and operates in the Technological Park named Tecnopolo Tiburtino in Rome. Apart from third party research, LABOR develops own technological platforms, to be sold or licensed.



Akretia is major shareholder of Couple Systems, founded 2007 in Germany and focused on environmental technologies for international maritime shipping. Its‟ mission is to become the technology leader for exhaust gas cleaning systems in the marine industry within the next five years. Couple Systems products are technology wise leading products in the field SOx and NOx abatement as well as on the field of Methane Slip catalysis.




LINARI is a company established in 2003 which operates in the production of high tech equipment.

At the beginning the commercial activities were mainly focused on thermo-hydraulic application and electron accelerators (LINARI has realized some components of CERN Accelerator). Thanks to the collaboration with the University of Pisa, LINARI Engineering started the production of engineered devices for the production of nanomaterials (basically nanofibers) that the company is selling all over the world. LINARI personnel is very skilled in the production of high tech devices (i.e. electrospinning devices; rotating bioreactors; software) and it is able to design and fully assembly machinery fulfilling with the expectations and requirements of their consumers.



  STOGDA Ship Design & Engineering sp

StoGda Ship Design & Engineering sp. is a privately owned company established in 1997. StoGda employs about 50 skilled engineers and designers, as the company’s activities are focused on shipbuilding and offshore business. StoGda is involved in the field of Naval architecture and ship design, offering technical specifications, stability calculations, ships systems, electric power distribution. In the area of Engineering and Design, the company offers e.g. piping systems (including exhaust gas systems ), piping plans and pipe prefabrication.


Furthermore, StoGda prepares 3D models of any construction using various 3D (three-dimensional) design/calculation tools (FEM, Autoplan/Autopipe, FORAN 70, AutoCAD, PROCHEM C, TribonM3, Cadmatic). As results it is possible to obtain: hull documentation (class, engineering and lofting with NC data and nesting), pipeline isometry with components list, pipe isometry with prefabrication details, plan (horizontal or vertical sections) and axonometry view.

The company has experience in designing vessels such as: container-, ro-ro- and reefer vessels and trawlers, bulk carriers , product carriers, wind turbine installation.




Since 1st January 2012, the Fuel Cells and Solid State Chemistry Division, Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy, became part of a new department, Department of Energy Conversion and Storage at Technical University of Denmark (DTU) (DTU-EKON).


The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is one of Europe’s foremost technical universities with more than 1600 scientific staff members and 1000 Ph.D. students. DTU Energy Conversion was created on existing DTU world class expertise in fuel cells (solid oxide fuel cells and polymer electrolyte fuel cells), electrolysis, flue-gas purification systems, polymer solar cells, batteries, hydrogen storage and related technologies with more than 20 years of experience in solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) research and advanced functional ceramics. DTU Energy Conversion facilities include a pre-pilot production line with a capacity of several tens of thousands of cells per year.



NTT is a private non-profit research company established in Prato (Italy) since 1972. It has a staff of around 20 people, including employees and in-house consultants. NTT represents a reference point for research and technological innovation in the textile sector in Italy. The company is actively involved in research and demonstration projects on textile processing and textile machinery design realized at regional, national and European level.
